Frequently used in spells that wish to communicate with the dead or to offer protection from all things evil and dark. Bay Laurel is said to aid in psychic power development and strengthening. It's believed that if you write a wish on one of the leaves and burn it in a ritual on the solstice, it will help bring it to be. Particularly useful at Samhain. It can also help by banishing what no longer serves in the same manner if you make that your intention when burning the leaves.
Great for honoring deities like Apollo, Asteria, Hekate, etc.
